F.A.Qs

Our soaps are handmade in small batches, so while do try to replicate each design, please allow for variance in the appearance of each bar.

Are your soaps vegan?

Yes they are! All our soaps are made with plant based butters and oils. We do use nut butters! so if you have nut allergies, PLEASE note our ingredients.

How long does a bar last?

Our bars last as long as the traditional store bought bar of soap, as long as it is kept in a well drained dish/area. (No water puddles!)

Why is your soap so expensive?

As artisan makers, we invest time and care into the creation off all our products. All off our products, soaps included, are made from scratch with only the best quality butters, oils and natural additives, so you get all the good stuff!

Is handmade soap better than mass produced?

During the soap making process, the fats/oils and lye blend together to form soap. Glycerin, a natural skin emollient (skin softener) that attracts water from the surrounding air, is a by-product of this process.

Typical store-bought soaps have had all of the glycerin removed and placed into additional products such as lotions and creams. The reason is instead of buying one product that will clean AND moisturize, (such as handmade soap) a consumer now has to buy two products to serve the same purpose, thus, an increase in profit for the company.

When profit is placed as a higher priority than quality of life, the consumer is the one who suffers. By removing the glycerin, store-bought soap takes on a skin-moisture-stripping quality that will dry the skin and leave it vulnerable to cracking and flaking.

Did you know that the "soap" you buy on a shelf isn't really soap? Most commercial soaps are made of synthetic detergents and therefore cannot label their product as such. You will instead see words like "beauty bar" or "cleansing bar" but rarely SOAP.
